After 3
years, Shakira’s new album is getting closer. Led by the club-ready single
"Me Enamoré" and the hit buzz single "Chantaje", the album
would be released earlier this summer.
Shakira just released “Me Enamoré”, the lead single from her upcoming ninth studio album. The song was written and produced by Shakira, and co-produced by The Rude Boyz (“Chantaje” producers). The track describes how Shakira met her current boyfriend Gerard Piqué in 2010 in a party night with Mojitos. Now with two sons (Milan & Sasha), the couple just turned 6 years since they officially confirmed their relationship on social media.
On March
28, 2017, Shakira announced the alliance between her Pies Descalzos Foundation,
the F.C Barcelona Foundation and la Caixa Foundation, to build the new “Institución
Nuevo Bosque” school in Barranquilla, Colombia. On the same day Shakira had an
interview with Univision to talk about her new single and future projects.
During the
interview Shakira revealed that she plans to make the best tour of her entire
career, and concluded by saying: "I have clear ideas of how I want it to
be and since I haven’t toured for a long time, it's going to be very powerful
and very intense”.
